What is the general feel of a Sunday morning?
The feel reflects a relaxed family atmosphere. We have a blended worship style. We are a multigeneration church that believes kids are a vital part of the church family. We design our service to allow kids to engage with the whole church body to help develop a strong, thriving faith. This means you will hear kids in our services and see opportunities for them to serve alongside adults. Our goal is to do our best for God, but we will not sacrifice a person’s growth or the leading of God just to “make things perfect”. When kids and new volunteers serve, they do not do it perfectly, but that is how they learn and grow. We may also shift the order and focus of service if the Holy Spirit leads us in a new direction. Everyone dresses to their comfort, most typically ranging from casual to dressy casual. Come as you are.
What does your church believe?
We believe:
- The Bible is the inspired, true word of God.
- The God of the Bible is the one true God.
- He is one God but He exists as a trinity of three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- Christ is the eternal Son of God. He came to the world as a baby and lived a sinless life. He died and was risen from the dead. His sinless life qualified Him to freely choose to die as a sacrifice to erase our sins. This is a free gift to us if we accept him as our Lord and Savior.
- Baptism by full immersion is a public expression of our faith in Jesus Christ. It is commanded in scripture that all who believe are to be baptized but it is not a requirement to be saved.
- Communion is a symbol of the sacrifice of Jesus. We practice open communion, which means you do not have to be a member to participate, just believe the Jesus Christ is your Savior. We use individual juice and crackers as the communion elements.
- The Holy Spirit is alive and active today. The baptism of the Holy Spirit can result in the demonstration of gifts. Which gifts you receive are determined by the Holy Spirt.
- These are a short outline of the key belief, but if you would like a detailed description of Statements of Faith, including scripture references, check out the link below.

What do you have for kids?
Check out our “Gatherings” and “Events” Pages for a full list and details. In brief, we offer Sunday School, Children’s Church, Wednesday Evening Church Ranger, as well as other seasonal kids’ events. We also have a kid’s station in the foyer with coloring sheets, activities, stickers and more to use during service if you prefer your child stay in service with you.
What do you have for teens?
We have a Youth Sunday School Class at 10 AM. We also partner with Coulee City Assembly of God for Youth on Wednesday Nights (during the school year). We attend Youth camp in the Summers. We also encourage teens to be involved in our other services. If your teen would like to find a way to serve, we have many opportunities (e.g. children’s education, audio/media team, etc.)
Do you have Membership?
Yes, but you do not have to be a member to attend and be involved in our church. Membership gives you the chance to vote on church decisions and bylaws. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Pastor Michael Mele for more information.
Do you have to be baptized in the Holy Spirit or speak in tongues to be saved?
Definitely not. Some people have been given the false impression that the Assemblies of God believes this idea, but what we believe is that the only way to be saved is by confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. We do believe that baptism of the Holy Spirit is a wonderful experience that enhances your relationship with God, but in no way dictates your salvation.
